	Spot Headlamp by Black Diamond Once you use a headlamp, you will never go back to a flashlight. A friend pointed out to me that they are useful around the house when the power goes out during our winter wind storms!

	Fox River X-Static Liner Sock The best way to prevent blisters is to use a sock liner. If you use a sock liner, the friction that causes blisters will occur between the 2 pairs of socks and not between your foot and the 1 pair of socks, thereby causing blisters. This tip was given to me by a seasoned hiker and I always use liners and I have never had a blister! I have tried several brands of liners and like these the best.
